Sprints

Join the DjangoCon Europe 2026 sprints in Athens. Two days of open source contributing, guided by experienced Django developers. Free for all attendees.

It's time to code

Location: Bespot, Voutadon 28, Athina 118 54
When: 18 & 19 April (Saturday & Sunday)
Hours: 10:00-17:00

After three days of listening to inspiring talks about Django, attending workshops and learning new tools and skills, we have to do something with all that energy. And what better way to channel it than by contributing to the very open source software that brought us all together?

On Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, you'll have the opportunity to do exactly that.

What to expect

What's a Django sprint?

A Django sprint is an excuse for people to focus their undivided attention, for a set amount of time, on improving Django. It's a focused, scheduled effort to test, fix bugs, add new features and improve documentation.

A weekend of coding and collaboration

Whether you're a seasoned contributor or someone taking their very first steps into open source, the sprints are for you. Pick a Django project, find something that interests you and just dive in. If you get stuck or don't know where to start, there'll be a pool of experienced contributors ready to guide you.

Free for all conference participants

The sprints are free to attend for all conference participants. However, since the venue has limited capacity and we want to prepare the right amount of food and drinks, please keep your participation status updated on the ticketing platform after purchasing your ticket.
